High Wire
Radioontheshelf
Karl Wallenda was arguably one of the greatest high wire performers of all time. He started at the age of 6 and continued thrilling audiences all over the world until at the age of 73 he fell to his death whilst attempting to cross between the two towers of the Condado Plaza Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
For most of us the high wire is represented by the trials and tribulations we experience as we go through life. Sometimes we are sensible and use a safety net but at other times we throw caution to the wind and venture onto the wire, unaided but hopefull of reaching the other side.
